GRDC Core Beliefs

We Believe …..

The Bible: We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God, without error in the original languages.

The Trinity: We believe the one true God manifests himself in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Deity of Jesus Christ: We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His resurrection, His complete conquest over the powers of Satan, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His imminent return in like manner as He went away.

One Way, One Truth: Jesus is the exclusive, only, and narrow way to right relationship with Father God and is the express representation of all truth fulfilled and written in the Bible.  He is not “a” path to God, but is the “only” path to God and doesn’t synchronize or mix with other so called false god’s, false belief systems or false representations of Him. (John 1:1-5, 14:6; Luke 14:25-34). see this separate Bible Reference: [Bible Reference]

Mankind’s Fallen Condition of Sin: Adam and Eve fell. Perfect beings, created in God’s image, exercised their God-given will to make poor choices. The result is that “ all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”(Rom 3:23) which leaves humanity is separated condition from God.

Salvation: This is the atonement needed for humanity to remove the debt of sin that separates us from God resulting in restored relationship to God!  We believe that the new birth is essential for salvation and that this salvation is wholly by grace through faith from the sacrifice provided by Jesus Christ death, burial & resurrection.

Forgiveness:  We were freely forgiven by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, so we freely walk in forgiveness towards others resulting in a ministry of reconciliation(2 Cor. 5:19).

The Church: We believe the church consists of all those who truly believe in Jesus Christ and in His atoning death, and who trust in Him as their personal Lord and Savior living an obedient life as a disciple of Christ.

Unity:  God unites everyone no matter social, race, ethnic, or cultural standing for we are all one in Christ Jesus(Matt. 28:18-20; Rev. 5:9-10; Gal. 3:28)

The Holy Spirit: We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, born again Christians are enabled to live Godly lives.

Freedom and Deliverance: We believe in the biblical principles of freedom and deliverance, recognizing that through faith in Jesus Christ, individuals can experience liberation from sin, bondage, and the power of darkness. The Scriptures affirm that true freedom is found in Christ alone, and His deliverance extends to every aspect of our lives.

Sanctification & Obedience:  Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God.  This is a direct result of walking in obedience to word of God and commands of Bible and Jesus.(John 14:15-18, Rom. 12:1,2; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Hebrews 13:12)

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit: We believe in a second experience following the new birth, which is referred to as the baptism of the Holy Spirit, or the infilling of the Holy Spirit. This experience is not required for the new birth but is pertinent to living a successful and impactful life in Christ. (Matthew 3:11 & Acts 2:4)

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit: We believe that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12 are available and operational in the body of Christ today.

The Church and It’s Mission: The Church is the Body of Christ, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Since God’s purpose concerning man is to seek and to save that which is lost and to demonstrate His love and compassion for all the world to be an agency of God for evangelizing and discipling the world(Acts 1:8; Matthew 28:19,20; Mark 16:15,16)

Healing: We believe that redemption was provided for the spirit, soul, and body in the atonement of Jesus Christ.

Baptism and Holy Communion: We believe in the ordinance of Baptism in water (by immersion) in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, on the authority of Jesus name. We also believe in the ordinance of Holy Communion.

Heaven and Hell: We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they are lost unto eternal damnation; they that are saved unto eternal life.

Marriage, Sexuality & Gender:  We believe in the sacred covenant of marriage.  God’s definitive sexual standard is reserved only for the marriage covenant.  Binary, between one man and one woman represented by the picture of the relationship of the church to Jesus Christ in accordance to Jesus’s words quoting the beginning of creation in the book of Genesis(Matt. 19:4-6;Gen. 1:27; 2:24 5:2; Eph 5:31-32)

The Occult/ New Age: We believe we need to avoid everything that has anything to do with witchcraft and/or the occult(even if it seems innocent or harmless on the surface).  According to the Bible things affiliated with such practices of any kind involve spirits and/or spiritual forces that are opposed to God and are, in fact in league with the devil and demonic.
