Recently, through a dynamic partnership with Every Heart Movement, we were a part of multiple regional Kingdom events the week of May 27-31! The week kicked off with a Unity Gathering of 200+ people praying for our region at Day Break Church on Memorial Day. Later that week, we (GRDC) participated in sending out 4 teams into our city with Every Heart to share the Gospel and serve mid-afternoon on May 31st. Later on that night it concluded with an event in Rosa Parks Circle from 7-10 pm where there was powerful worship ending with a powerful Gospel message and people getting baptized!
Several weeks later, one of our leaders got an unexpected phone call from a young adult who had been in our youth program who had fallen away. This young person had gone to the event at Rosa Parks and was so touched by God, they got baptized at Rosa Parks re-devoting their life to God!
How did we get involved with this Kingdom initiative? Last year, GRDC had the opportunity to partner with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) with THE SEND. Many may remember we had dozens of West Michigan churches participate in this Kingdom initiative that mobilized 200+ people into the city with “Flood” week. That led into the arena event at the Van Andel Arena where over 7,000 people attended to worship and be encouraged to pursue missions! Grand Rapids Dream Center had the privilege of being a part of “Flood” week mobilizing 10 teams in 3 days alongside some other groups. One of those other big sending groups is none other than Every Heart Movement also well known as “Met By Love”. This is an incredible movement largely built upon Generation Z leaders!
Let me tell you, our young Generation Z is pursuing and chasing God like none other! They don’t want religion, gimmicks or a neutered version of church, they are hungry and desperate for an authentic relationship with God. They’re also showing a willingness to sacrifice for Jesus to take the Gospel anywhere! We have seen this in the Every Heart Movement, and we know Jesus has called us to partner with them and lift them up any way possible while we and the Church (Big C) collectively, seek revival in our city! Since THE SEND in 2023, we have developed a close partnership with Every Heart Movement. They have also helped champion a Kingdom movement of West Michigan pastors and leaders resulting from THE SEND event. These pastors and leaders have been fully devoted to praying for our region and pressing into how we can work together to reach people, make disciples, and send people out to carry the Gospel!
